Role Overview

We are seeking a Turbomachinery Engineer (Fresher / 0–1 year experience) to support the design, analysis, and testing of rotating machinery subsystems for advanced MGT programs. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role for engineers with strong fundamentals who want to build deep capability in high-speed turbomachinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support design and analysis of rotating machinery subsystems for high-speed MGT applications
  • Assist with component-level calculations related to loads, stiffness, damping, and dynamics
  • Support rotordynamics studies including critical speed awareness and vibration sensitivity
  • Assist in executing FEA-based structural and dynamic analyses
  • Support experimental testing including test setup, instrumentation, and data acquisition
  • Participate in development and use of engineering tools, scripts, and spreadsheets
  • Work with mechanical design and systems teams on interfaces and integration
  • Document calculations, assumptions, and test observations clearly
  • Learn and apply best practices in turbomachinery engineering

Must-have Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related discipline
  • Fresher or up to 1 year of experience including projects, internships, or thesis work
  • Strong fundamentals in mechanics, vibrations, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
  • Exposure to FEA tools such as ANSYS through coursework or projects
  • Exposure to basic rotordynamics concepts
  • Exposure to vibration or structural testing
  • Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, or equivalent
  • Hands-on, execution-focused mindset
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Good to Have

  • Project experience with shafts, bearings, housings, or couplings
  • Introductory familiarity with bearing types
  • Basic exposure to CAD tools such as NX, SOLIDWORKS, or Creo
  • Experience with test rigs or DAQ systems
  • Strong interest in gas turbines, MGTs, or high-speed machinery
